Robert Lawrence Cookman, 62, of Waimea died May 11 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Honolulu, he was a stevedore with McCabe, Hamilton &Renny and Matson Navgation and a U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard veteran. Celebration of Life on Saturday, May 30, at Nuuanu Memorial Park &Mortuary. Visitation at 9:30 a.m.; service at 11 a.m. Scattering of ashes at 9 a.m. June 6 at Kawaihaea. Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. at Imiola Church (Hale Laiana). Lei and loose flowers welcome. Casual attire. Hisao Mihara, 83, of Hilo died May 15. Born in Hilo, he was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a maintenance worker for the Hilo hospital. Charles Shigemi Kakigi, 80, of Hilo died May 8 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
